It’s Time for Scruffy City Orchestra’s 10th Anniversary Concert!
This spring, Dr. Ace Edewards leads Scruffy City Orchestra in a very special concert celebrating their 10th anniversary. Part of the Cathedral Concert Series of the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the orchestra will perform in the Cathedral and hold a reception for audience members after the concert in Cathedral Hall (the “old” cathedral).
Program:
Verdi – Nabucco, SInfonia
Chausson – Poème, Op. 25, featuring violinist Ruth Bacon
Intermission – featuring giving music
Saint-Saens – Organ Symphony No. 3 in C Minor, Op. 78, featuring organist Ryan Seaver
WHEN: Sunday, March 1, 2026, 5:30 pm
WHERE: The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 711 S. Northshore Drive, Knoxville
ADMISSION: Free (donations welcome). Seating is limited and reservations are requested through Eventbrite (link available at the Cathedral Concert Series website approximately two weeks before concert).
RECEPTION: After the concert, the audience is invited to meet Scruffy City Orchestra in Cathedral Hall for light refreshments as we celebrate 10 years of sharing classical music with the greater Knoxville community.
