Enjoy an Afternoon with Scruffy CIty Orchestra!
This fall, Dr. Ace Edewards leads Scruffy City Orchestra during a Sunday afternoon event! Join SCO for a premier performance along with this season’s Concerto Competition winners.
WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
WHERE: The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 711 S. Northshore Drive, Knoxville
ADMISSION: Free (donations welcome). Seating is limited and reservations are requested through Eventbrite (link available about two weeks before the concert date).
The repertoire for the Fall concert includes:
- Eine Vision (Meine Jugend) Ouverture by Franz Lehár
- Caroline Ning, Youth winner, performing Orchestral Czárdás for alto saxophone by Pedro Iturralde
- Rebecca Deal, Young Adult winner, performing Ibert Flute Concerto, Mvt. III by Jacques Ibert
- Premiere U.S. Performance!! Dritte Symphonie (Third Symphony), op. 227, by Carl Reinecke
